External rotor BLDC motors are shorter than internal rotor motors and offer a cost-effective solution particularly for large series. In these motors the permanent magnets are mounted on the rotor housing which rotates around the internal stator with the windings. Thanks to the higher inertia of the rotor, external rotor motors have a lower torque ripple than internal rotor motors.

Short external rotor BLDC motor with a diameter of 68 mm and a rated power of 110 W. The open design without rotor housing ensures optimal heat dissipation - especially at high speeds.

The DFA68 also comes with an integrated inductive 3-channel encoder with a resolution of 4,096 CPR (DFA68…-E). Via digital Hall sensors the motors can be controlled easily. 

• Up to 3,700 rpm rated speed/3,500 rpm with encoder
• Up to 0.29 Nm rated torque
• 14-pole construction for smooth operation at low speeds
